The Talwood races had a terrific day on Saturday, with a crowd of 450+
attending, the weather was amazing. The crowd enjoyed the 5 race program, with our newly constructed pallet furniture, the red dust blew in from the horses coming down the straight, but you wouldn’t have a day out at Talwood without the dust. IT was once again a great family day, with the jumping castle, snow cone man and sand pit filled with children. The Calcutta grew a crowd with many thanks to Hamish Whyle and Co from Landmark for organising, and thankyou to Woods grain for sponsoring the fashions of the field. The band kicked in at 6pm and the crowd danced till late. Thankyou to our main sponsor B&W Rural, with also a mention to our other sponsor B&R Webster, Landmark, Mcgregor Gourlay, Reardon Farms, Evoloution farming and Mckenzie home hardware. The committee would say thank you to our the Talwood community for all their support and help with volunteering with setting up and helping on the day.
