The Goondiwindi Pony Club recently hosted their Working Horse Draft and Zone 28 Formal Gymkhana, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of local riders. The events were made possible through the generous support of various sponsors.
The Working Horse Draft was a success, thanks to the support of age group sponsors including Coolibah Droughtmasters, Gore Landlevelling, Taylor Farrier Services, Privitera Contracting, RGC Equine, and Goondiwindi Autoglass. These sponsors have consistently supported the Pony Club, and their contribution is greatly appreciated. The winners and place getters of the Working Horse Draft were also recognized for their achievements.
In addition to the sponsors, Steve and Sarah Wells played a crucial role in the success of the Working Horse Draft. Their time, expertise, and encouragement of the young riders were greatly valued. Furthermore, Trudi Picton graciously allowed her cows to be used during the event, adding to the excitement and challenge for the participants.
Following the Working Horse Draft, the Zone 28 Formal Gymkhana took place on Sunday. With 90 riders in attendance, the atmosphere was filled with smiles and good sportsmanship. The march past winners were Warwick, Cambooya, Goondiwindi, and Yarrill Creek, who took home the minor places. The event was a true display of talent and teamwork.
The success of the Zone 28 Formal Gymkhana was made possible by the support of local sponsors. These sponsors, including The Queensland Hotel Goondiwindi, L Bulmer and Co, Stephen Sparke Jewellers, Black Truck & Ag Goondiwindi, MacIntyre Independent Agronomists, Goondiwindi Tyre Service, Super Safe Animal Herbs, North West Rural Supplies Pty Ltd, Andersen Truck & Tractor, Goondiwindi Hydraulics, Border Vet Surgery, Specialized Farm Machinery, and Goondiwindi Mower & Bearings, provided the necessary rugs and trophies. Their ongoing support of the Pony Club is invaluable and without their generous contributions, such events would not be possible.
The Goondiwindi Pony Club expresses its gratitude to all the sponsors, both for their support during the events and their continuous support throughout the year. Their commitment to the Pony Club and the local community deserves recognition. The Pony Club also extends its thanks to all participants, volunteers, and spectators who made the Working Horse Draft and Zone 28 Formal Gymkhana memorable occasions.
