The Gundy Medical Muster committee were excited to invite delegates back to Goondiwindi for the 8th biennial conference over the weekend after COVID forced the 2020 event onto a virtual platform. With over 150 attendees the conference was well attended by Doctors, Nurses, Medical Students and Allied Health Professionals. The committee took the opportunity to invite some of the speakers to run education sessions for the local community over the weekend also. Laura Zimmerman spoke to diabetes technology, City Fertility discussed IVF treatments and Abby Fletcher hosted an interactive session diving into how her son Mav, who has autism, shapes her day to day life. Laser Beak Manโs creator, Tim Sharpe entertained the guests over dinner with his mother, Judy Sharpe. During her presentation, Judy commended the Goondiwindi community on the warm welcome they had received on arrival and the focus of bringing awareness of autism throughout the weekend.
The Gundy Medical Muster Committee would like to thank the Goondiwindi Regional Council for the opportunity to use of the Goondiwindi Cinema and adjoining areas. We are proud to be able to showcase Goondiwindi to our guests and being able to use such iconic, beautiful and well-maintained facilities sets the tone for the whole conference.
