The Dalby Diehards had a profitable road trip to Goondiwindi winning both grades at Gilbert Oval. In the first grade clash Dalby had virtually put the game to bed at half time when they established a 36 points to nil lead.
They took the foot of the accelerator in the second half with their two tries being matched by a couple of Goondiwindi four pointers in the latter stages of the game.
Chris Woodbridge again proved the nemesis for his old club by adding another four tries to his mounting register of touchdowns.
This win by Dalby means they share second spot with Gatton just one competition point behind ladder leaders Warwick.
They would be reasonably confidents about next weeks clash with Newtown before a crucial game against Gatton in round six.
The season is proving to be a tale of woe for the Goondiwindi combination with only a drawn match against Highfields to show for their season’s efforts.
Next week the Boars will be at Pittsworth for reunion and celebration of the 2004 premiership winning team.
