The Goondiwindi Boars would like to congratulate the Ngambaana warriors on winning yesterday’s Border Knockout carnival. They were very deserved winners which boasted a lot of local talent and were dominant all day.
We would also like to thank all the teams who competed and played in good spirits as well all the players, spectators, volunteers, helpers and comittee for another successful event.
We’d like to say a special thank you to to Allen’s Pharmacy Goondiwindi for donating some much appreciated first aid supplies, and to the ball boys and girl from Goondiwindi Junior Rugby League for all of their help on the day. We’d also like to thank the lovely ladies from the Goondiwindi CWA for working their magic in the canteen, to the boys from the Clontarf program at Goondiwindi SHS for helping us clean up today, and to Leeanne McCall and her helpers for coming out with her slushie machine and helping out in the canteen for the 4th year in a row. We’d also like to thank the Goondiwindi SPS Music Sub Committee for al the great work the do manning the gate for us.
If you’re just getting a taste for Rugby League this year you are in luck as we are hosting the boars first Trial game this Saturday night 22nd Feb from 5:30pm followed by our Tiki party in the clubhouse. Hope to see everyone back again!
