Entries for the 2023 Goondiwindi Apex Eisteddfod close on Tuesday 9th May.
Schedules can be collected from the Goondiwindi Regional Civic Centre 100 Marshall Street. Entries may be posted to The Secretary PO Box 1018 Goondiwindi 4390 or left at the GRC office with the correct entry fee enclosed. A direct deposit facility is also available. Details are in the schedule.
Entry fees are $7.00 for choirs, groups and bands; $6.00 for open divisions and $5.00 for all other sections under 18 years.
Organisers are urging all participants to submit their entries by the due date as late entries will not be received or accepted.
The eisteddfod dates are Monday 7th August to Saturday 12th August. The adjudicators for this year’s eisteddfod are Margaret Gallagher, Speech & Drama; Kellie Wilson, Instrumental & Piano and Vocal & Choral; Nicky Manego, Dance. All of this year’s adjudicators are residents of Brisbane.
Helpers are also urgently required during eisteddfod week. It takes many helpers to run the eisteddfod and in the past year a number have retired from duty or transferred from the district. Even an hour of your time would be most appreciated.
We are also in desperate need of new committee members. Our next meeting is 7.00pm Wednesday 24th May at 30 Mann Street. If you have an interest in keeping Junior Music and Drama alive through the Goondiwindi Apex Eisteddfod you are most welcome to attend this meeting.
