Diane Elsden Art Exhibition Launch – “My World of Flowers”
October 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pmFree
An Award Winning artist and teacher, Diane attributes her versatility as an artist to several years study with internationally renowned artist Michael Taylor and mentoring received from Frank Hodgkinson (dec.), Brian Malt (dec.) and other artists renowned particularly in watercolour technique.
Garden design is Diane’s other passion, particularly large country gardens. In 2019 Diane’s exhibition My World of Gardens at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery was a snapshot of her ongoing project of painting gardens from around the world. Visiting Cuba, Panama, Mexico, Jamaica, the Mediterranean and the desert gardens of Arizona occupied 2019. For many years she has attended the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
Diane’s exhibition My World of Flowers at Resting Place of the Birds Gallery, Goondiwindi in September 2021 is a continuation of her love of flowers using acrylic and mixed media in a large format, abstracted style.
In 2013 Diane was named as one of Queensland’s Leading Women by the YWCA (along with Quentin Bryce, Gail Mabo and the former Premier Anna Bligh).
