Would you like to get fit and active in a very low pressure environment?\nJoining the Goondi Tri Club is the answer to all of these questions. We have informal swimming\, riding and running training throughout the week and mini tris at the town pool every Sunday.\nThings you need to know.\n– Where and when – Town pool at 7:00am for 7:30 start.\n– What’s it cost? – Membership is $20 ($50 for families) for the year and you need to pay for your own pool entry.\n– Do I need to be fit? – No. You can do as much or as little as you like.\n– What are the distances – Nominally 300m swim\, 11km ride and 2.4km run but whatever you can do. It takes anywhere from 35 mins to 1 hour.\n– Will I be last? – Probably not. Mini tris are handicapped so the speedy ones start later and everyone finishes within sight of each other.\n– Do I need all the gear? Not really. Something to swim in\, any type of bike (with helmet) and a pair of joggers are all you need.\n– Do I have to wear lycra? No but once you’ve worn it once it becomes hard to go home and ‘slip into something less comfortable’\n– What else do I need to know? Nothing really. Just come on down and have a crack. There is always a full range of abilities\, fitness\, body shapes and gear at the mini tris. We’ve had people go from the couch to competing at Hell of the West. People who had never learnt to swim now being able to swim 2km. It takes anywhere from 35 mins to 1 hour.\n– Will I be last? – Probably not. Mini tris are handicapped so the speedy ones start later and everyone finishes within sight of each other.\n– Do I need all the gear? Not really. Something to swim in\, any type of bike (with helmet) and a pair of joggers are all you need.\n– Do I have to wear lycra? Would you like to get fit and active in a very low pressure environment?\nJoining the Goondi Tri Club is the answer to all of these questions. We have informal swimming\, riding and running training throughout the week and mini tris at the town pool every Sunday.\nThings you need to know.\n– Where and when – Town pool at 7:00am for 7:30 start.\n– What’s it cost? – Membership is $20 ($50 for families) for the year and you need to pay for your own pool entry.\n– Do I need to be fit? – No. You can do as much or as little as you like.\n– What are the distances – Nominally 300m swim\, 11km ride and 2.4km run but whatever you can do. It takes anywhere from 35 mins to 1 hour.\n– Will I be last? – Probably not. Mini tris are handicapped so the speedy ones start later and everyone finishes within sight of each other.\n– Do I need all the gear? Not really. Something to swim in\, any type of bike (with helmet) and a pair of joggers are all you need.\n– Do I have to wear lycra? No but once you’ve worn it once it becomes hard to go home and ‘slip into something less comfortable’\n– What else do I need to know? Nothing really. Just come on down and have a crack. There is always a full range of abilities\, fitness\, body shapes and gear at the mini tris. We’ve had people go from the couch to competing at Hell of the West. People who had never learnt to swim now being able to swim 2km.
