High Street, Texas
This building was erected in 1938 as part of a major expansion by the Bank of New South Wales in Queensland. It was designed by promi- nent Brisbane architects Hall and Cook and erected by B M Wade and Co of Inverell.1.
Significance
The former Bank of New South Wales building is significant as a group of substantial commercial buildings erected in the 1930s which dem- onstrate the growth of Texas in this period.
