The Goondiwindi Rugby Union celebrated a winning day on and off the field at their Annual Ladies Day held yesterday. The Emus dominated all three grades against the Rangers, securing impressive victories:
- A Grade: 27-10
- B Grade: 41-0
- C Grade: 19-10
But the triumphs extended beyond the scoreboard. The event, which raises funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, proved a tremendous success, generating a staggering $45,000 through the World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser and the Mega Raffle Draw.
“Thank you to all who generously donated to a cause close to our hearts,” expressed the Club in a statement. “We are very lucky to be part of a great Community.”
The sunny weather provided a perfect backdrop for the festivities, with attendees enjoying delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere. The strong community support added another layer of success to the day.
The Goondiwindi Emus can be proud of their performance on both the field and in their fundraising efforts. Their Annual Ladies Day proved to be a true celebration of rugby, community spirit, and supporting a worthy cause.
