Yesterday’s sensational weather greeted 136 nominated anglers ( 92 adults, 44 kids) in the Goondiwindi Fishing competition, organised by Brett Stanbury along with Steve Brown also they also raised $460 for Care Goondiwindi. Held in the Macintyre River at Goondiwindi, the event attracted anglers from throughout the region.
The event objective was to encourage and promote fishing, encourage families to get out on the river. Feedback from anglers about their experience on the river and the general comment appeared to be that everyone enjoyed themselves. Brett is hoping to run another competition later on in the year, so join their facebook group Goondiwindi Fishing to find out whats happening.
