Thank you to all those who supported the Goondiwindi and District Garden Club at Nungwai the beautiful gardens of Sandie and Angus Wilson and Sandie’s parents Neil & Jeannette Grant. Many thanks to the Nungwai families for sharing their garden. The Nungwai gardens had one and half metres of water over it during the floods last week so the garden club was blessed with such a beautiful day.
The next Goondiwindi Garden Club garden day is at Russell and Annette Billsborough’s home at 49 Rivergums Drive. This garden is quite a large garden with the home overlooking the river with a new arbour and entertainment deck on the river side. . The driveway is bordered by a collection of native shrubbery and trees. A fountain surrounded by French Lavender and a Rosemary hedge is a feature in the centre of the front lawn. Annette has an extensive variety of pot plants in the outdoor area and Russell has a productive built up vegetable garden .
Attendance at garden days for registered members remains at $5 per head.
Non Garden Club members entrance fees to attend open garden days will be $10 per head.
