The Goondiwindi Hospital Auxiliary held its first fund raising day post Covid on June 19th, 2022.A Card day was held at OakTree Village in the amazingly large community facilities. Despite the cold weather a crowd 65 willing supporters turned up and enjoyed a day of playing either Mahjong, Bridge or 500. The Auxiliary provided delicious morning teas and a scrumptious lunch of hot soup and fresh sandwiches.
The Hospital Auxiliary Committee was so well supported by our community and we acknowledge all of their efforts in helping us with the day. We were able to have raffles and prizes which were both welcomed by the players and allowed for much delight.
We are very grateful to OakTree Village for the use of their wonderful room and the support they gave us to host the event. All monies raised are going to the upgrading of the birthing suites at the Goondiwindi Hospital, a task which is both needed and will take a couple of years of constant fund raising.
Happily we can report that over $4000 was raised, and that it was a fun day for all involved.
