The Goondiwindi Polocrosse Carnival held at the Goondiwindi Showgrounds last weekend was a resounding success, with an impressive turnout of 36 teams. The event showcased top-tier polocrosse skills, with Warwick 1 taking home the A Grade trophy, Tara 1 emerging as B Grade winners, and Chinchilla 1 claiming victory in the C Grade division. However, the excitement wasn’t limited to the field as Saturday night saw an exhilarating auction to raise funds for a much-needed toilet block at the bar. Players were treated to lively entertainment by the talented Charlie Lund, whose music provided the perfect backdrop for the lively atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was the themed event, “I Can’t Believe You Wore That to The Bar!” where participants vied for the best-dressed title. In a bold and stylish outfit, Stoff Franklin from Gold Coast Club daringly donned Warwick Club Colours, resulting in an indisputable win and admiration for their fashion-forward choices. This remarkable event not only united the community through sport and entertainment but also contributed to a worthy cause, making it a weekend to remember.
