The Goondiwindi Hawks Football Club celebrated a winning Ladies Day last Saturday, with a fantastic turnout enjoying sunshine, cheese platters, and bubbly at the Hawks Nest.
All three grades took to the field, with the Under 12.5s battling hard against falling short against Coolaroo and the Senior Women securing a brilliant victory over the South Burnett Saints.
However, the day’s highlight was undoubtedly the Senior Men’s triumph against arch-rivals Coolaroo. This win marked Coolaroo’s only defeat of the 2024 season and just their second loss in the past two years. For the Hawks, it was sweet revenge after their Grand Final defeat to Coolaroo in 2023, making the victory even more satisfying in front of the enthusiastic Ladies Day crowd.
The Club extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Ladies Day Raffle.Congratulations to all the lucky winners! Special recognition goes to the Club’s Sponsors and the wider Goondiwindi community for their generous donations of raffle prizes.
