Inglewood Show 2022
The 2022 Inglewood show was a great success this year with gate numbers far improved from previous years. Highlights included the Friday night Rodeo which was well supported by the community. Saturday saw an action-packed family fun day with chainsaw races, the Inglewood challenge, motorbikes events, dachshund races plus much more. The reintroduction of some old favourites including the Grand Parade and Dog high jump made for a fun day. Many thanks to this years Citizen of the year Red Johnstone for his inclusion of vintage trucks in the Parade and his expert announcing of the event.
The winner of the Dog High Jump was local favourite โBoltโ owned by Brent & Liv Osbourne. There were four amazing dogs that jumped to a height of 1.95metres and unfortunately none could get over the elusive 2metres. Bolt tied for 1ston a count back and ultimately beat out โBootsโ in a jump off to claim overall first prize.
The dachshund races were a success. The little sprinters were a little unruly but made for an entertaining event. The champion Dachshund went to โIvyโ owned by Suzanne Anderson of Goondiwindi. Spar Inglewood were the winning bidders in the Calcutta. Many thanks to Proterra Group for their sponsorship of this event.
The Yard dog trials got their first official use of the newly purchased sheep panels. Thanks to Acciona for their support in purchasing these panels. They look absolutely smick and have made Inglewood the envy of many other yard trialling committees.
The Inglewood Show society would like to thank our Platinum sponsors Goondiwindi Regional Council and Johnstone Concrete & Quarries for their ongoing support of the Inglewood Show. It is only through support of local businesses and individuals that the event is even possible.
A special mention also to the Lions Club for their many hours spent manning the gate.
