Council is looking for an experienced & enthusiastic Facilities Manager.
This role will be responsible for the effective management of Council buildings and facilities in relation to their property management, maintenance, renewals and capital project delivery activities. The position will also be responsible for project and contract management, managing approved budgets, providing advice to stakeholders and high quality written reports as required.
The Facilities Manager will oversee the management of community and aquatic buildings, including property management, tenancy matters and also responsible for compliance with applicable service level agreements.
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:-
General Construction Induction White/Blue Card
Open C class Car licence
Minimum five (5) years experience in project and facilities management.
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and/or other qualifications or experience that would be advantageous to the carrying out of the duties of the position.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to a work environment that values the contributions made by staff, that is healthy and safe, free of discrimination and which seeks to attract and retain quality staff.
The appointment will be in accordance with the Queensland Local Government Industry Award – State 2017 and Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement.
Pay Level – Stream A – Level 4 ($72,257pa) to Level 6 ($82,483pa) dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
Status – permanent full time.
Hours of work – 36.25 hours per week
19 day month (Rostered day off)
