About the Role

We are currently seeking applications for the position of Feedmill Operator based in Lundavra, QLD, 40 minutes from Goondiwindi. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their ability to learn new skills/procedures and work under pressure to meet deadlines. A high level of mechanical aptitude, basic knowledge of computers and a moderate level of health and fitness will be required.

Accommodation: available onsite

Reporting to the Feedmill Operations Manager, role responsibilities include:

  • Operate and maintain equipment associated with stock feed production
  • Perform troubleshooting and running repairs on mechanical equipment
  • Monitor the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimise downtime, solve problems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Gather and report plant process parameters through regular checking of equipment
  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company safety, health and environmental policies and procedures

As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must have:

  • Must have experience working with mechanical equipment (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complications with a solution focus
  • Forklift (essential)
  • HC truck licence (desirable)
  • A preparedness to work flexible hours (including some weekends and public holidays)
  • Have the ability to work under pressure to meet production and customer requirements
  • Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and bio-security standards
  • Be willing to undertake any additional training required for the role
  • A demonstrated professional, safe organised and disciplined approach to work
  • Current drivers licence (essential)
