Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Boggabilla Water Services Team.

  • Permanent full time – 38 hours per week
  • Location- Boggabilla

The Boggabilla Water and Wastewater Plant Operators will be required to ensure that water quality and quantity of Boggabilla and Toomelah water supplies and the maintenance and operation of the water treatment works is efficiently and effectively carried out.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2020.

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications: 

  • Certificate III Water (Wastewater) Industry Operations (or willingness to commit to completing upon commencement)
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to carry out mathematical calculations for sewerage records together with proven experience in the maintenance of accurate records.
  • General Construction and Induction card.
  • Current NSW Class MR Driver Licence (Manual).
  • Skidsteer/Bobcat (LS) – Workcover Certification Licence.

Applicants who do not hold an MR/LS Licence may be considered in some instances, however must have the ability to obtain at their own cost within three months of employment.

The ability to work after hours when directed by the Water and Waste Superintendent and approved by the Director of Engineering, including being on-call when requested is also an essential requirement for this position.
