Sunday was Leven K Lavender farm’s open day.
A lovely morning full of conversations, questions & laughs about lavender, gardening & life! A beautiful mix of people enjoyed a lavender themed morning tea and yarn at Leven K!
Kellie and Matt Oxenford maintain around the 3000 plant mark – focusing on Lavandin varieties such as ‘Rocky Hall Margaret’, ‘Riverina Thomas’, ‘Asa Blue” & ‘Grosso’.
The lavender flowers between October and March, depending on the season, sometimes later or earlier. Peak flowering/picking times are around Christmas week. Our oil flowers are harvested with an ‘Ochai’ harvester, and our dried product is harvested by hand with a sickle. Matthew distils all of the essential oil on the farm in their still.
‘Shed Shop’ is open by appointment all year round.
