57 Athletes altogether competed over the weekend, at the Maranoa Regional Little Athletics Carnival. They came from St George, Chinchilla, Mitchell and Goondiwindi to compete in various events, sprints, long distance, hurdles, throws, jumps and even a walk.
Everyone competed well, there were lots of PBs gained, some records broken, lots of smiles and new friendships made.
Thanks goes to all those that helped organise and set up, also to everyone who helped at an event, to those who travelled so far to come including 4 LAQ representatives from Brisbane. Thanks also to GSPS P&C for catering the canteen and Shot to U for the coffee and pies.
Goondiwindi Little Athletics will continue again next year in term 2&3, anyone interested should keep an eye on the Facebook page for registrations in term 1.
