The MacIntyre Club Hosts Successful Winter Event
Goondiwindi locals were treated to a winter wonderland on Friday night at The MacIntyre Club’s annual event. This year’s theme was ‘Fire & Ice’, with over 100 guests attending the night held outside Harry & Kit shed.
The committee did an excellent job of transforming the area into a winter wonderland. Guests arrived at dusk and enjoyed socialising under the stars into the evening. The food was another highlight of the night, with Laurenz providing delicious nibbles, including crowd favourites like bao buns and arancini balls. The entertainment led by Luke Lennon was fantastic, and the mulled wine and craft beer by the Welder’s Dog were an absolute hit.
The ticket included food, drinks, live entertainment, and annual membership to the social club established in 1956. The committee members deserve a special mention, including Polly McKinnon, Dodie Wilson, Sandie Wilson, Angus Wilson, Sam Hoath, Sam Messmer, Sarah Crothers, Peter Crothers, Fergus McLaughlin, and Conor McMahon, for the work in putting the event all together. The committee’s efforts paid off as the event was a raging success.
The MacIntyre Club is all about bringing Goondiwindi locals together to meet, mix, and mingle. You can find information and updates about events via their Facebook page. The club and the guests are grateful to Lilly, owner of Harry and Kit, for letting them use the venue.
The MacIntyre Club’s annual event is an excellent opportunity for the locals to come together, enjoy good food and wine, and be entertained. The Fire & Ice theme added a winter twist, and the committee’s effort in transforming the area into a winter wonderland was a sight to behold. The event was an excellent success, and we look forward to what the club has in store for the future!
