We’re buzzing with excitement after witnessing the incredible community spirit at last Sunday’s NRL Hogs Tour Event in Goondiwindi! The belief that Rugby League can bring communities together was vividly demonstrated here in Gundy, with an amazing turnout that left us in awe. Huge gratitude goes out to Brad Fittler, Petero Civoniceva, and Ben Hannant for delivering an unforgettable afternoon.
The momentum of Goondiwindi Junior Rugby League is unstoppable, with our numbers steadily climbing season after season. Last year marked a milestone as we achieved the highest number of registrations with the Warwick and District League. This success is credited in part to our innovative programs such as Munchkin League, designed for our youngest players aged 3–5, and our ongoing efforts to encourage girls’ participation in the sport.
We wholeheartedly embrace NRL initiatives like The Hogs Tour, recognizing their vital role in promoting and nurturing the game in regional areas like ours. Whether you’re interested in playing or volunteering with Goondiwindi Junior League, we extend a warm invitation to connect with us via our Facebook page or email at gjrlfc@gmail.com. Let’s continue to foster the spirit of Rugby League in our community!
