Our annual charity high tea on Wednesday the 29th was another successful event. This year we raised $825 for the biggest morning tea cancer council foundation. We had 45 wonderful members of our community visit the village centre to enjoy an elegant high tea for morning tea. Gloria Corey and our local breast and prostrate cancer nurse Toni, gave a heartfelt and informative talk about how they help our community members through the tough times of dealing with cancer treatment. It is always a pleasure to have Gloria and her team speak as she is passionate about helping our community as she is a survivor. We and our residents at Oak Tree Retirement village love hosting our annual High Tea year after year to raise funds for charity and we look forward to welcoming everyone again for next years event. Keep an eye out for our up and coming events as they are open to the whole community of Goondiwindi.
