Seven years ago RJ Hanna Constructions was born with a vision to deliver high quality products and consistent reliable construction service to the Goondiwindi community and surrounds. Robby & Lisa Hanna are the owners.
RJ Hanna Construction team has now grown to a full-time employee team of 20, currently including 5 apprentices, 6 Senior Supervisors (including Robby), 3 Tradesmen/ Carpenters, 3 Labourers and 3 in the office. Our first two apprentices are now qualified builders and contributing to the strong team of qualified carpenters/ builders on hand to train the new apprentices. We believe supporting the development of local skilled labour is important in rural regions like Goondiwindi.
We are a husband and wife management team and have found it so rewarding to start our family business here in our home town Goondiwindi. Five years ago, we resigned from our “day jobs” and jumped in feet first to our construction business, employing two staff. Robbie has 19 years carpentry experience and Lisa’s experience has been in working for large building companies in technical and sales. Robbie leads the onsite construction teams, while estimating and consistently increasing workload and Lisa manages the office liaising with clients, handling the administration, writing tenders, managing all procurement and implementing the marketing strategy. We have now outgrown our home office and have recently opened our CBD showroom and offices hiring two additional administration staff.
We service 200 kilometres radius due to our remote location and hold both QLD and NSW Licences. We offer a wide range of services – there is no job too big or too small for RJ Hanna Constructions, this is evident in the wide range of services we deliver; from new homes and large commercial buildings to bathroom renovations and shed installation.
We carry out many regular maintenance services for most of the local government organisations, insurances companies and real estates. Based at our location we are the only business we know of to offer all services and to hold a medium rise licence. We all hold our asbestos certifications, and are the only business in the Goondiwindi region able to do this work.
RJ Hanna Constructions revenue has consistently grown – more than doubling each year since 2013.
In 2017 we won the bi yearly Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce Manual Trades Industry and the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce overall business of the year.
In 2018 our Apprentice Timothy Tribe was nominated, shortlisted and won Queensland HIA Apprentice award -recognition of Outstanding Achievement
