A great weekend was had by all who attended the 2nd annual Greenup Showcase last weekend. The weather was perfect for over 500 people to venture out and enjoy the beautiful grounds at Greenup Meeting Place and be entertained and enlightened by many talented artisans and craftspeople. Over 30 individual artists displayed their skills with many demonstrating to enthusiastic onlookers throughout the day.
Chainsaw artist Luke Sheehan, created four amazing sculptures over the weekend and it was a delight to watch such a skilled craftsman in action.
Each year a community organisation is chosen to benefit from the gold coin donation entry.
This year, over $1000 was raised for the Inglewood & District Historical Society.
The Greenup showcase is an annual event and next years event will be held on the 23-24th September.
Mark it on your calendar to ensure you don’t miss it!
The organisers would like to thank the Goondiwindi Regional Council for their support through the community grant and RADF funding.
