From ex nurses, hairdressers, sheep chasers and everything in between, the U3A (University of the Third Age) art group have gathering their talents into an art exhibition at the fantastic facilities at Oak Tree Retirement Village Centre in Albert Street, Goondiwindi for two week showing.
Cassie Ellis, Village Manager, invited the group to exhibit their wonders of talent at the centre with the opening taking place on Friday, 12th August, 2022 at 6pm. Approximately 50 people came to view the art, enjoy the groups efforts and socialise with other onlookers.
The group consists of Ann Raymond, Rob Archer, Barb Mailler, Sue Fitzhardinge, Rose-Marie Moulton, Robyn Peggler and Vicki Murphy. Community art with a touch of companionship helps the group with their weekly Friday gathering at Oak Tree Retirement Village.
The exhibition is still open for viewing till Friday, 19th August, 2022, and a huge thank you to Oak Tree staff for making it all happen including hanging all the art pieces and allowing the generous two week showing to the Goondiwindi Public.
