The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is embracing the new digital event trend by adapting and reimagining their signature events in the wake of COVID-19, with their inaugural sold out The Diamond Hunter Talwood Pink Ladies Day the first cab of the rank.
With the current health restrictions postponing the physical Talwood Pink Ladies Day until August 2021, the Foundation is offering an exciting new virtual event to 2020 ticketholders to bring the excitement of the day directly to them.
CEO of the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation Alison Kennedy said it was especially important, given the current climate, that the Foundation do all they can to continue their commitment to support the regionโs smaller communities.
โAt the start of this year we were so excited to take over this beloved local event, and it was absolutely fantastic to sell out within a day of releasing tickets. However, 2020 had other plans in mind,โ she said.
โWe know how much this event means to all our ticketholders, and though weโre a little sad that we canโt host a physical event weโre super excited to offer them the opportunity to join us virtually on Wednesday 26 August.
โRather than being in a big open field, this year weโve taken all the elements the ladies love and reimagined them online.
โWeโve got a fantastic local guest speaker, the Grand Raffle thanks to our naming sponsor The Diamond Hunter and online Market Stalls.โ
Mrs Kennedy said this virtual reimagining is a way for the Foundation to ensure the ladies whoโve purchased tickets donโt miss out on the magic of this unique event while still fundraising for a cause close to their hearts.
Founder of The Diamond Hunter Christina Duddy said they are excited to be supporting this yearโs virtual event.
โThe 2020 virtual event is such an exciting concept and promises to be a wonderful alternative to the traditional charity luncheon. We are very proud to be involved and congratulate the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation on their unwavering commitment to delivering this event for our region,โ she said.
All funds raised from the 2020 The Diamond Hunter Virtual Talwood Pink Ladies Day will go towards supporting the vital work of the Rural Womenโs Mobile Health Clinic.
