On Saturday the 10th of June, the Yelarbon Community had a Sculpture show and handmade markets. We had 12 artists and 22 sculptures submitted with 17 stalls. The community voted on which community group all raised funds would go to. We raised $670 which is donated to the Yelarbon State School. We had 3 winners for the sculpture show. We had Goondiwindi Councillor Phill O’Shea, Shelly Rielly from Green Up Meeting Place and Michele Hollister from Mihardwork Glass Arts. They took their time inspecting each of the sculptures. Linda Wilkes from Tara took out the judges’ choice for 1st place and highly commended 2 sculptures, the Metal Rocking Chair made by Teeny Runzera and the Ceramic Steam Punk Stack House made by Michelle Irlam. The Under 12s Winner was Ari with her wild wire flowers. The people’s choice, voted by the community, was won by Michelle Irlam for her Ceramic Steam Punk Stack House.
